Filmed April 25, 2012. A national day of action marking the day US student loan debt topped $1 trillion. Students from NYC schools, and universities rallied at Union Square in solidarity then marched to Wall Street. The Occupy Student Debt Campaign calls for all existing debt to be written-off in the spirit of "jubilee", debt currently crippling generations of students and impacting the national economy.
At Cooper Union, a solidarity protest brought attention to the administration's plan to charge tuition for graduate students. Two people were arrested at that demonstration;
one person was arrested simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

The protest featured a puppet of Board of Trustees Chairman Mark Epstein pulling the strings of Cooper Union President Bharucha before Bharucha breaks free to sign a pledge upholding the school's mission statement.
The rude mechanical orchestra perform a song parody of "Down by the Riverside".
