After the global seminar I sat and thought - we know the problems, we discuss them endlessly, it's so easy to apportion blame in our frustration, instead of taking responsibility, but how much honey can one bee make? Alone we feel impotent, but we can learn from the hive. I know it is not easy to find our way through the problems, and sometimes it seems like trying to move through a mudslide! Today I found this link that made me more hopeful that we could move mountains but we will need to harness all our different diverse skills and come together on shared values and build network connections that unify our individual very different skills.and plan our future. The link was talking about social capital, meaning harnessing and connecting everyones abilities, some folk can lead a team, some are creative and connect unlikely partners or find solutions no one else considers, some have very clever technical ability, others have great intellectual ability, a few learn great wisdom through life experience. If we can combine these skills, like the hive, we could be stronger as a unified whole. Sadly many children leave education and even university without an appreciation of their own skills and talents.perhaps we should encourage and inform one another of where our talents and skills lie and work together in our communities to encourage great ideas and put them into action - it seems to me it's the only way we are going to get out of the current mess.

I was just endiing a campaign in Michigan against our Governor, and wondered what more was out there, what more can I do to help make my country the place I used to love, when I stumbled across a thing called Livestream, where people with the same purpose (supposedly) or like mindness could come together, chat, discuss, plan, and act and I was to say the least, excited. I started chatting and made so many friends and it was then I realized, that I had been wrapped up in my own small…
