...seems to be a little rife at the moment, which is a shame.

There are some people who come to the LSX chat who are far too full of their own self importance it seems to me.  Lacking humour and complaining about those who do. 

Taking ourselves too seriously is just as wrong as being nonsensical the whole time and there has to be balance.  It may just be me but I spotted who the jokers were last night with NO problem.  It ALSO seems to me that the people who complained are ALWAYS complaining about something anyway.  Neither of them denied who they were and at some stage were desperately pointing out who they were for those who either didn't want to get it, or couldn't get it...though I find the last difficult to believe, given that they were open and honest about who they were.

Yes, the conversation was surreal and that is as much a way of getting frustration out there more so than the negative attitudes of those others.  I'm sorry but that's how I feel. 

Be under no illusion that some have more input and make more contributions than others.  Yet, it seems to me that we pander to those who contribute less and I wonder often why that is?  If, as  was pointed out, it is all to do with appearance, then WHY, oh WHY, has there been a constant stream of messages allowed from angels? 

Don't get me wrong, I take NO issue with others beliefs but when it is a constant bombardment of things unrelated to occupy matters, is the whole thing allowed to continue, DESPITE having it pointed out time and again that there is a room on mumble SPECIFICALLY for that purpose?

What happened last night was a bit of fun, so get over yourselves.  Appearance?  See above. Behave!!!  Seems to me it's easier to pick on people you know, yet these same people have been here from the beginning, the complainers ... meh!  Not so much.  Humour is a positive outpouring of your frustrations and to make it into something else says more about you than the people performing the silliness.

Those same people who have overcome mental and physical disabilities to remain here, despite those disabilities.  We ALL know that there are difficulties surrounding what we do and we all have our burdens, so let's not add to others burdens by being sanctimonious shall we?

Disagreement and heated discussion is all well and good and demonstrates our frustration and passion - but come on...people, there are FAR more important things happening out there and re-actions can appear a lot more childish than the action in the first place.  I am not discounting myself in that either, so just in case you thought I was...there's the disclaimer.

We need to be careful that criticism of something fairly trivial does not drive good people away.  We've seen it happen on the ground, let's do our best to make sure it does NOT happen on line, in this hard fought for community of generally GOOD people...those committed to the changes that NEED to occur for people to take back their lives.

Pragmatically OLSX chat is NOT going to change the world.  It's a CHAT box, so let's get serious here.  OUTREACH and ACTION is what changes things not a bloody chat box.  Pettiness is what's keeping me away from mumble right now and it is also making it difficult for me to carry on supporting the movement.  For those who think I don't, I have no answer...for those of you who know what it's like for me when issues arise because ARC is away, because I am the silent support (though not ALWAYS silent (!!!!) and I fund him through working at a job I hate!!!!...thank you for your understanding.

The appearance therefore to me, of the over-reaction to last night's silliness is just further evidence that I need to stay away from it all.  Because the silliness I was able to take at face value...the reaction to it, I was NOT as I feel that that has a deeper and more sinister reason behind it.  A troll is a troll is a troll and I KNOW who that troll is...he's given himself away on numerous occasions.  So if I recongised sandra, wind and the troll...what's up with everyone else?????

Try and keep it real people, there's a whole WORLD of crap going on out there and humour is the LEAST we should be criticising.  Especially JUST for the sake of appearance, because to ME it was the reactions that made the biggest impression - AND if I saw it like that..............!!!
