Barb wisely raised the subject of silence at the global meeting last night, it set me thinking. It is important that a group is comfortable with silence - giving each time to assimilate, and listen while others speak, It is about practising compassion and being open - where we put self aside to give our attention totally witholding judgement and preconceptions, while offering respect and dignity to one another. What is not being said is more likely to be heard in the silence than in the chatter. If a person feels this coming from others they feel heard, then they are more likely to listen attentively when it is their turn to listen  Perhaps reality is now, in the silence when we give it space. Perhaps as soon as we bring in schools of thought or critical thinking we drag in the past to push our agendaa and alter and direct what is ?. .We are practising our compassion when we learn to listen actively and perhaps fewer small voices will slide down the conversation thread unheard. We are learning together how to collaberate globally and making good progress, my thought is we may gain from learning as barb said to appreciate that silent space which can illuminate,  and is pregnant with many new possibilities for collaberation.

I found this beautiful Turkish poem today by a contemporary of Rumi, and I thought to post it here, it shows the value of silence before choosing our words carefully.

A single word can brighten the face

by Yunus Emre

English version by Kabir Helminski & Refik Algan
Original Language Turkish

A single word can brighten the face
of one who knows the value of words.
Ripened in silence, a single word
acquires a great energy for work.

War is cut short by a word,
and a word heals the wounds,
and there's a word that changes
poison into butter and honey.

Let a word mature inside yourself.
Withhold the unripened thought.
Come and understand the kind of word
that reduces money and riches to dust.

Know when to speak a word
and when not to speak at all.
A single word turns the universe of hell
into eight paradises.

Follow the Way. Don't be fooled
by what you already know. Be watchful.
Reflect before you speak.
A foolish mouth can brand your soul.

Yunus, say one last thing
about the power of words --
Only the word "I"
divides me from God.

The Importance Of Reverse Phone Lookup.

phone number search

The first three digits of the phone number would also help them locate the owner of the phone number. The thing is that if they had just run a phone number lookup, they could have found each other! Before you get any ideas, let me tell you that these sites are perfectly legal and also offer their services free of cost. This happens to many different people all over the world and many of them don't know how they can identify these pranksters. It's extremely… Continue

We are supposed to be in this together!

I was just endiing a campaign in Michigan against our Governor, and wondered what more was out there, what more can I do to help make my country the place I used to love, when I stumbled across a thing called Livestream, where people with the same purpose (supposedly) or like mindness could come together, chat, discuss, plan, and act and I was to say the least, excited. I started chatting and made so many friends and it was then I realized, that I had been wrapped up in my own small…
