I believe that the eliminating of unemployment might be our common interest that would solve most of the problems of capitalist society. We need to fight for shortening work hours proportionally to the unemployment rate.  Here is a simple explanation: If there are a total of two workers applying for a total of one work position, the competition amongst the workers would lower the price of work and the worker who gets the job would most certainly be exploited. If there is a total of one worker and a total of two available jobs, the competition amongst the employers would certainly raise the worker’s wage. Shortening work hours should maintain an equilibrium among workers and work posts. Companies should be forbidden by law to hire overtime as long as unemployment exists. By eliminating of unemployment workers would be able to get higher salaries and the whole society would profit from it.
