...and the cause of it all...The Celestine Prophecy.
I read that book just after it first came out in 1994. It explained a lot about how I was feeling and gave me a huge insight into who I was, helping me to realise who I am.
Now, that's quite a big…

Thought I would write this blog at 13.07 on Sunday 19th August whilst watching the Assange livestream on occupii.org.
My HUGE congrats to the streamers and studio crew for whom I have nothing but admiration.
It's a thankless task most…

...seems to be a little rife at the moment, which is a shame.
There are some people who come to the LSX chat who are far too full of their own self importance it seems to me. Lacking humour and complaining about those who do.
Taking ourselves too…

...I am a writer of insight, erudition and.....all those things that will NEVER allow me to be published.
Oh....
...in fairness though, it has to be stated that I ONLY think I am a 'writer' in my own mind.
I'm actually not a writer in my own mind though...what I am in my 'own' mind is...a visualist.
I 'saw' the things I wrote about from my past in my present...I now 'see' the things I foresaw, so am very clearly fucked!!!
Yes!

I hope you stay. But if you find something that you think is more effective than Occupy in achieving what you want to achieve, then do that. Here in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, I think that Occupy is still the most productive use of my time, so I'm doing Occupy.
Of course we've had our arguments here too. Maybe that just comes with the territory; people who don't have strong beliefs and a sense of their own rightness don't do Occupy. I have to admit I was more on the side of being open to homeless people, even though they might cause the occasional problem. There are arguments pro and con. You're obviously no fool so you already know them and I don't have to rehearse the list here. You came to your own conclusion.
Anyway I think your post was really about group dynamics and respect. Occupy was the first time I'd ever done anything political in a group, so I got a few unexpected lessons in egos, interpersonal dynamics, and motivation. Found out there's more to being an Occupier than just knowing about income inequality and how to stay warm in a tent.
Something not exactly on topic but you might find it interesting:

It was written by a feminist activist in 1970. It's about some issues she found in groups.
There's still snow all over the place here, but the sun is getting hot and walking down the sidewalk it smelt like Spring mud. There's that smell. Really made me happy.
Freedom! Down with corporate oligarchy!

I was just endiing a campaign in Michigan against our Governor, and wondered what more was out there, what more can I do to help make my country the place I used to love, when I stumbled across a thing called Livestream, where people with the same purpose (supposedly) or like mindness could come together, chat, discuss, plan, and act and I was to say the least, excited. I started chatting and made so many friends and it was then I realized, that I had been wrapped up in my own small…
