What is the role of social media like Occupii, Facebook and Twitter in occupations and protests? We are a group of researchers in Sweden who is keen to find out and therefore conduct a survey among activists. Hi Weaky, - well I live in a village and I am trying to guide it towards sustainability through transition, town movement. I grow veg fruit and herbs in my garden, buy local. and seasonal, we have an independent local supermarket so I can avoid the big suppliers like tesco who are squeezing the life out of their suppliers. If you want to live eco there are some links in freeskilling that might help persuade councils to help with finding land - though it takes persistence, and if you can find a small plot of abandoned / unregistered land it is possible to lay claim to it though a protracted process.
