Remembering, reflecting on and recording the achievements....

Success is problematic to measure if we want to acknowledge the many ways and levels, that our individual experiences of engagement and process have been positive...In this group we can report and reflect on what we all feel have been 'successes/achievements' of the movement so far, both collective and individual. The following points/advice were made in a recent interview with long term activist  Selma James at Occupy LSX. Selma was responding to a question from a livestream viewer:Q:What do…See More

Hey OccupyToronto,

My name is TJ, and I am working with a team on a research project titled "Occupy Media Survey!" at Uppsala University.  The leading professor on the project, Christian Fuchs is also the chair of the European Sociological Association's Research Network for Communications and Media Research.

The project attempts to answer some of the following questions: What is the role of social media like Occupii, Facebook and Twitter in occupations and protests? Was the Arab spring a "Twitter and Facebook" revolution? How does the Occupy movement use social media? Is it a social media movement or something different?

Therefore we are conducting the OccupyMedia! Survey. We invite some users of Occupii  to participate in it, and would be extremely happy if you could take 15 minutes time in order to help us find out what role social media play in contemporary protests:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WG7JRG2

If you have any more questions about the survey, please contact us. If you do not find time to participate, then please simply ignore our request and excuse any inconvenience. Thanks a lot!

Further information about social media research and the background of this survey can be found in this article:
http://occupynewsnetwork.co.uk/why-social-media-research-matters-for-occupy/

If you find this survey to be useful, then it would be great if you can also tell others about it.

Best, TJ with Occupy Media Survey

The Importance Of Reverse Phone Lookup.

phone number search

The first three digits of the phone number would also help them locate the owner of the phone number. The thing is that if they had just run a phone number lookup, they could have found each other! Before you get any ideas, let me tell you that these sites are perfectly legal and also offer their services free of cost. This happens to many different people all over the world and many of them don't know how they can identify these pranksters. It's extremely… Continue

We are supposed to be in this together!

Posted by Nette Mom on April 26, 2013 at 20:55 0 Comments

I was just endiing a campaign in Michigan against our Governor, and wondered what more was out there, what more can I do to help make my country the place I used to love, when I stumbled across a thing called Livestream, where people with the same purpose (supposedly) or like mindness could come together, chat, discuss, plan, and act and I was to say the least, excited. I started chatting and made so many friends and it was then I realized, that I had been wrapped up in my own small…
