Zaterdag 7 januari hebben we de eerste tentloze vergadering gehad. Op de afspraak plek op de Rijnkade waren Sabine, Cas, Paul en Ruben. Thielo (vriend van Ruben) en later ook Arild hebben met de vergadering meegedaan. Occupy Media Survey said… Indi Go Rise
My name is TJ, and I am working with a team on a research project titled "Occupy Media Survey!" at Uppsala University in Sweden. The leading professor on the project, Christian Fuchs is also the chair of the European Sociological Association's Research Network for Communications and Media Research.
The project attempts to answer some of the following questions: What is the role of social media like Occupii, Facebook and Twitter in occupations and protests? Was the Arab spring a "Twitter and Facebook" revolution? How does the Occupy movement use social media? Is it a social media movement or something different?
Therefore we are conducting the OccupyMedia! Survey. We invite some users of Occupii to participate in it, and would be extremely happy if you could take 15 minutes time in order to help us find out what role social media play in contemporary protests:

Occupy Hilversum bestaat eigenlijk (nog) niet. Ik ben het meest betrokken bij Occupy Amsterdam. Ik heb Occupy Hilversum Facilitair opgericht omdat ik manifestaties van Occupy-afdelingen in het land wil ondersteunen met faciliteiten, zoals catering, podium, geluid, aggregaat, tafels, banken, tenten etc.
Op het ogenblik ben ik druk bezig om spullen te verzamelen om een complete set van faciliteiten te krijgen.
Ik heb het initiatief genomen om in Amsterdam op het Beursplein wekelijks op zondag van waarschijnlijk 16.00 tot 18.00 uur een bijeenkomst te organiseren met sprekers, prekers, discussie, protestsongs etc. etc. Hier wil ik zondag 4 maart mee beginnen.
Dan hoop ik ook langzamerhand of nog liever iets sneller goede mensen te ontmoeten, die het leuk vinden om een team te vormen, dat in staat is om een ondersteunende klus goed te klaren.
