Although Occupy is neither affiliated with any political party nor seeks to be, its goals are bound to involve the business of governance as politics is all pervading. The question is, being omnipresent, are politicians and government, watchdogs and ruling bodies, doing enough to represent people not corporations, protect the environment and close the massive, and widening gap between the 1 and 99 percent?

Occupy Edinburgh is Evicted

Posted on April 2, 2012 at 0:09 1 Comment

So although no eviction order has been submitted and negotiations are still ongoing with both the Council and Essential Edinburgh it would seem they are bent on the vacation from St Andrew Square by Occupy Edinburgh. Perhaps in a less Orwellian Police State crackdown than some other unfortunate Occupies but then this is Edinburgh. The capital of one of the greatest wee nations on the planet. The Origin of the Enlightenment. A place of free thinking and rational reason. The birthplace of many…

Hello Iain.

What is the role of social media like Occupii, Facebook and Twitter in occupations and protests? Was the Arab spring a "Twitter and Facebook" revolution? How does the Occupy movement use social media? Is it a social media movement or something different?

We are a group of researchers in Sweden who is keen to find out and therefore conduct a survey among activists. We invite some users of Occupii  to participate in it, and were therefore happy if you could take 15 minutes time in order to help us find out what role social media play in contemporary protests:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WG7JRG2

If you have any more questions about the survey, please contact us. If you do not find time to participate, do not have anything to do with activism or simply find such surveys not interesting or annoying, then please simply ignore our request and excuse any inconvenience. Thanks a lot!

The Importance Of Reverse Phone Lookup.

phone number search

The first three digits of the phone number would also help them locate the owner of the phone number. The thing is that if they had just run a phone number lookup, they could have found each other! Before you get any ideas, let me tell you that these sites are perfectly legal and also offer their services free of cost. This happens to many different people all over the world and many of them don't know how they can identify these pranksters. It's extremely… Continue

We are supposed to be in this together!

Posted by Nette Mom on April 26, 2013 at 20:55 0 Comments

I was just endiing a campaign in Michigan against our Governor, and wondered what more was out there, what more can I do to help make my country the place I used to love, when I stumbled across a thing called Livestream, where people with the same purpose (supposedly) or like mindness could come together, chat, discuss, plan, and act and I was to say the least, excited. I started chatting and made so many friends and it was then I realized, that I had been wrapped up in my own small…
