Hello Donnie,
My name is Christian Fuchs, I am professor at Uppsala University and chair of the European Sociological Association's Research Network for Communications and Media Research.
What is the role of social media like Occupii, Facebook and Twitter in occupations and protests? Was the Arab spring a "Twitter and Facebook" revolution? How does the Occupy movement use social media? Is it a social media movement or something different?
We are a group of researchers at Uppsala University in Sweden that is headed by me and that is keen to find out answers to these questions. Therefore we conduct the OccupyMedia! Survey. We invite some users of Occupii to participate in it, and were therefore happy if you could take 15 minutes time in order to help us find out what role social media play in contemporary protests:

Ja, dat is al een tijdje bekend, er zijn hier alleen nog zo weinig mensen, ik hoop dat iedereen overstapt, maar ik trek me niets van die Sachs aan hoor, vertel wat kan die mij nu maken? Zo wie zo kijkt op WWW de hele wereld toe, zo heb ik het altijd gezien, de connecting is er en kunnen ze niet meer afnemen, want dat gaat nu gewoon bijna telepathisch door.............en wij hebben contact, wat kan ons nog verder overkomen? Nee, ik bleek niet gebanned maar kon 5 minuten niet op facebook. Is trouwens 2 keer gebeurd die avond.
Ik vermoed dat er wat 'black hat' hackers achter zaten die facebook aan het Ddossen waren.
Ze hadden dat al ergens aangekondigd.
Heel fijn dat er uitvalsbasis is zoals deze site.
Nu langzaamaan een beetje overstappen want facebook krijgt steeds meer het gehalte van hyves als je begrijpt wat ik bedoel..
Niet dat alles inhoud hoeft te hebben hoor en humor enzo is soms juist erg leuk zo ff maar pffff..
Er zitten wat mensen tussen daar waarvan ik zoiets heb; tja.. ik weet niet precies wat ik er mee aanmoet.
1 op de zeg 30 berichten snijd eens een keer hout en de rest is symptoomomschrijving.
"Oh wat is het koud". "Hier is sneeuw gevallen!" of "Ik ga koffie zetten!", "ff eten", "Goeiemorgen", "Ik ga slapen" of "ff naar de shop.".
In een chat of thread vind ik dat prima met zet het dan toch niet op je status neer. Occupii ga ik meer gebruiken voor vrienden en niet meer voor kennissen die slechts afentoe iets van belang posten.
Anders zie ik binnenkort door de bomen het bos niet meer..
