A poem by an Irish man, Koberon
Comment by poetwhoknowsit on January 10, 2012 at 11:23 Silence peace?
In a cell,
between beatings.
War ceases, peace?
To those it ruined,
To shattered life in its wake.
Suffering ends, peace?
To those left alone,
dealing with loss.
Insubstantial.
elusive.
The simple truth,
the eyes of a child, the smell of a lover,
the taste of the wind, love for another,
a butterfly's wing caught on the breeze,
completely accepting each others creeds,
peace.
Comment by poetwhoknowsit on January 10, 2012 at 10:04 We are peacefully requesting you stop all your games
park all your tanks and land all your planes
diffuse all your bombs and disarm all your guns
and fly all your nukes straight into the sun
we peacefully request you release all the drugs
and remove all the power from the hands of your thugs
to distribute them freely to all who have need
and cease using suffering to furnish your greed
we peacefully ask you to return all our cash
and all of the money your bankers have stashed
along with our gold you have in your vaults
and admit that the crisis is really your fault
we peacefully ask that you feed all the hungry
if you need any help you can use all our money
give it to those who are needy and sick
are you really that greedy? are you really that thick?
we are peacefully asking that you review your position
you bankers and brokers and bought politicians
and return to the freedom that came with your birth
and surrender your power to our mother the earth

Hung on the plaza
Ancestrial blood soaking
Staining the foundations of law
Feel the tremble
We walk on unsteady ground
Comment by Occupy Ink on January 7, 2012 at 19:02 be the world
when you say
you spate me not
and then with none
I stare
and smite
the spoke and heart
to occupy myself apart
but well with talk
insane and out
the world will hear
and then will pout
I sift and sport
to gone resides
and occupy myself inside
of that what sorts
in stepping time
and men that will
and women still
sit in the streets
I ring and charge
and occupy the world at large
Comment by Occupy Ink on January 7, 2012 at 18:40 stop as we - which what we are - here to say - and look the world - inside out - I wish its guts - would tell its truth - so all could pop - the pill that makes - a city weep and say its heart

Comment by Frank F on January 7, 2012 at 17:59 Today and Tomorrow
The child that you starve today,
Will not grow your food tomorrow.
The man you put on the street today,
Will steal from you tomorrow.
The student that you won't teach today,
Will not mend your wounds tomorrow.
The profits that you made today,
Will create your loss tomorrow.
Your police who locked me up today,
Will lock you up tomorrow.
Your religion that preaches love today,
Will teach you hate tomorrow.
The master who you serve today,
Will have you killed tomorrow.
The life you had until today,
Was made of my tomorrow.
All I've learned, from all my days,
from all my joy and sorrow,
Is if I don't care for you today,
Then who will care for me tomorrow?

I was just endiing a campaign in Michigan against our Governor, and wondered what more was out there, what more can I do to help make my country the place I used to love, when I stumbled across a thing called Livestream, where people with the same purpose (supposedly) or like mindness could come together, chat, discuss, plan, and act and I was to say the least, excited. I started chatting and made so many friends and it was then I realized, that I had been wrapped up in my own small…
