We welcome others to join us in exploring the possibility of not having to wait till an election year to remove ineffective congressional members that refuse to represent their oath of office in doing their jobs on behalf of ALL Americans...
With an approval rating of 9% - where could anyone keep their job and still not do their job other than in Congress? WE need a means to remove those that to not serve America rather only serving their selves.
MISSION STATEMENT:
To propose a constitutional amendment which provides American Citizens the opportunity to vote out our congressional members as a LAST RESORT to prevent congress from shirking it's sworn duty on the citizens duty to the citizens of the United States.
SITUATION OVERVIEW:
When Congress upholds pledges above their oath of office, ( i.e., the Grover Norquist pledge to not raise taxes) for the purpose of advancing their own political careers through re-election; these pledges have obstructionist results in the manner in which Congress performs its duties to All American people and not a select elite few.
* When Congress uses insider trading for their own financial gain and does not have to abide by the same laws that All Americans have too - they generate financial harm to our country with improper fiduciary responsibility.
* The rule of congress in the past had a majority vote of 56 that arbitrarily changed to 60 votes it resulted in making it more difficult for the opposing party to pass legislation. Thereby creating a road block to a Congress that should be functional and effective.
* When congressional approval drops below a certain percentage rating of the American people (TBD) the American citizens need a way to encourage congress to:
1. Work effectively together to govern the United States on behalf of the greater good of our country.
2. To empower citizens to invoke a No-Confidence vote between election cycles.
SOLUTION:
When congress becomes dysfunctional by either party putting their own ambitions before the needs of the country and representing ALL American People, there should be a recourse for American citizens to hold congress accountable by presenting them with a vote of No-Confidence, clearing the way for a more effective congress to be elected within 120 days.
Only if there are ramifications for their inaction(s) on advancing the People's agenda, can we have an effective means to hold congress accountable. The People's need can NOT be ignored with impunity - Hence - we are proposing a No-Confidence amendment to the U.S. Constitution for the People to deliver upon congress a vote of No-Confidence.
