GLOBAL PATENT WORKING GROUP

Pre-amble; This working group was conceived in the first few weeks of London Occupy. It is an answer to the problems posed by the capitalist industrialisation process. A process that is ultimately genocidal on many levels.

There are many innovations kept from public knowledge because it effects the peoples dependency on the established institutions, thus their market share, control and profit. Patents are often brought and hoarded until a profit can be made or the discoveries are simply rejected out of hand. The utilisation of technology before it is commercialised usually gets exploited by the military. Many well intentioned scientists and inventors have seen their life's work used to kill, oppress and control public populations around the globe. Quite the opposite of the rational that drove them to be creative in the first place.

The story of Nikolai Tesla is one we can learn from. He was not interested in money or merit but in serving mankind.

The premise of this idea is that there are many undiscovered innovators who do not have an out let for their technological and moral endeavour. I believe Occupy can assist these people to improve the experience of billions of people around the world. The emphasis on community learning and maintenance not corporate imperialism.

Draft Proposal & Mission Statement

“The GPWG proposes the formation of non-profit “Global Patent Task Force” (GPTF) consolidated under the umbrella of the Global Occupy Movement with remit to partner, co-fund, and otherwise facilitate freelance Inventors in pursuing international intellectual properties rights over new technologies with transparent utilitarian merit and potential.

The GPTF would comprise of a network of legal volunteers extending their expertise gratis in return for explicit negotiated powers of sanction over the terms of license of those technologies.  Global Occupy would then exercise those sanctions as far as possible to pre-empt said rights being monopolised and used for acts of war by government and private interests and promote their dispersal as legal shareware for the greater use of all mankind.”

GLOBAL PATENT WORKING GROUP

As with all things this is a constant work in process.

Basic Action Points

  • Define purpose and structure
  • A patent research group (Researches Patents owned by various institutions, expiry date and technology without patents.)
  • A innovaitor finder group (Contacts and searches for inventors who wish to serve man kind)
  • Contact relevant lawyer
  • Create the international legal frame work
  • Create website
  • Local shout outs to inventors, scientists and innovators
  • Have public inventor fairs at Occupy sites
  • Create inventions and innovations index
  • Logistic co-ordination
  • Resource share network
  • International teach teams that teach communities how to install and maintain technologies (for free for those who do not have the means to pay and a nominal licence fee for those who can)
  • Create a guild of inventors for further development

Hi Daniel, all,

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to join this group, with a purpose so dear to my heart.

Since 1997 I've worked for 3 companies focused on advanced R&D in the alternative energy field, My roles were varied, ranging from developing my own inventions, to doing patent research to find lost innovations.

My natural bent for reading and remembering large numbers of patents was what led me to work for those companies.

All three companies were focused on the outer edges of R&D, and over the years I worked on both solid state and rotary 'overunity' devices, as well as many only slightly less conventional techs.

So I can say from my own experience that the corporate structure stifles innovation, because none of these cos. has ever brought a product to market, even though there are things on the shelves of two of them that could change the planet if released.

In my disgust with this situation, and inspired by Occupy, I went searching for a way to begin divulging the huge store of technical data that I've built up to support this and other global movements for change.

Since I see that there are few years left to get new energy technologies to a planet full of people, I'm focused on direct dissemination of the tech I'm already aware of, rather than looking for more. It would be impossible to exhaust in one lifetime the hidden technologies of which I am already intimately aware.

I've already started that process here, by tranferring two relatively minor technologies that OWS camps could use now, to Tormentor, who's told me that he has passed them to some other mods. I have a third tech in the area of thermoelectric generators that can make power generation from waste heat efficient and affordable. In addition there is a relatively well known but little used Tesla technology for single wire power transmission that eliminates electrical losses.

These would be the top on my list, but basically, I can suggest technical solutions in any area that the global community needs, based on my previously done patent research.

Thanks for your time, in this relatively long post, and by all means let me know if you have any questions or desired clarifications.

With highest regard,

Fred Epps

The Importance Of Reverse Phone Lookup.

phone number search

The first three digits of the phone number would also help them locate the owner of the phone number. The thing is that if they had just run a phone number lookup, they could have found each other! Before you get any ideas, let me tell you that these sites are perfectly legal and also offer their services free of cost. This happens to many different people all over the world and many of them don't know how they can identify these pranksters. It's extremely… Continue

We are supposed to be in this together!

I was just endiing a campaign in Michigan against our Governor, and wondered what more was out there, what more can I do to help make my country the place I used to love, when I stumbled across a thing called Livestream, where people with the same purpose (supposedly) or like mindness could come together, chat, discuss, plan, and act and I was to say the least, excited. I started chatting and made so many friends and it was then I realized, that I had been wrapped up in my own small…
