.......It's impossible not to be; is my short answer. :)

No doubt we are all here for 'similar' reasons although for certain we have walked different paths to arrive here...

Because i am a part of humanity.
Because i have a choice.
Because I am not bound to any higher power, authority, system or laws except those layed down by the universe
Because i believe
Because i hope
Because i love
Because progress in the right direction requires progress. And progress only happens with change. And occupy is change.

I am here because I have been waiting, sometimes not so patiently, for enough people to wake up so we can transform the world into a place the supports everyone (not just a few) in every way. What is blossoming restores my faith in humanity and hope for the future. You may say I'm a dreamer, but now I know for sure that I am not the only one!

Really, I joined on accident. I overheard people at my college talking about starting Occupy Poughkeepsie, so I jokingly said to get various colleges in the area involved, and that's how I got attached to the college aspect of it. During my time I've been camping out in a park, talking with people, and even doing some jail time, the movement has made a bigger impact on my life, and has provided me with a fallback if anything ever did happen. I've learned to love my Occupy Family more than anything, and I've learned so much about what's happened to this country from the superpower it had once been. Why I'm here? Because I want to fix this nation, and Occupy is on the fast track of doing so.

If the "here" you are referring to is this location on the internet, it's to share and learn from other activists.  For me, this has been a long road beginning with the time US aggression against the Vietnamese people was still heating up.  This is a continuation of what I've done my whole life.  That's it in a nutshell.

I am here because I believe that society, the individual and technology are a continuous interaction of infinite systems, and that our current systems are unsustainable without a collective awareness and a cooperative push for change.

I'm here to save at least ONE child from a needless death. (UNICEF report that 9.7 million children died needlessly last year) .. I can picture in my mind all those faces..

We must change our thinking. Successful species, like ants (250 million years) adapt their SOCIETY to best meet the needs of their PROGENY .... why don't humans try that? .. it clearly works ..

To survive, every human MUST have access to Fresh Water, Nutritious Food, Electricity, Warm Shelter, Basic Medicine.

I believe that to succeed, Occupy must endeavour to meet the above survival needs INDEPENDENTLY from our current systems.

.. on behalf of my 3 grandsons .... thanQ all ..

.. only ElectricMonks believe everything their told ...
.. bless you .. x

Perhaps I'm just a bit overly sensitive on this one as the father of a murdered son, but when has a child ever needed to die?

We're playing with half a deck as long as we tolerate that the cardinals of government and science should dictate where human curiousity can legitimately send its attention and where it can not. It's an essentially preposterous situation. It is essentially a civil rights issue, because what we're talking about here is the repression of a religious sensibility. In fact, not a religious sensibility, the religious sensibility. Not built on some con game spun out by eunichs, but based on the symbiotic relationship that was in place for our species for fifty thousand years before the advent of history, writing, priestcraft and propaganda. So it's a clarion call to recover a birthright.

I'm here due to the fact that this world is the biggest shit show ever the peep do not have a voice anymore the environment is being destred without care and free energy and alternative energy patents are held by oil companies to keep us slaves to fossil fuels it is also a place where as soon as your born you are marked at a consumer and brainwashed to make operations who don't give a shit about you or the betterment of the planet or people I occupy for my and your children and their children to have a better life than me because people shouldn't spend their lives chasing the dollar instead of spending time withtheir loved ones or in the pursuit of higher education and ideas to better the lives of all I occupy be cause I'm sick of the color and language barriers and all that comes with it. And I occupy for all those who are too old or too tucked up mentally to occupy yes I occupy for crack heads and homebums too. In short its every body's duty to occupy just read the declaration of independence. So I do. If child support and having a phone didn't cost more I would quit my full time job as an electrician and just do this. Much love. Bee the change you want to see and remember even if you win the race...your still a rat! Lets change that

I am here because I simply cannot be anywhere else doing anything else. I must speak up. I must stand up. I am compelled. I Occupy for my children, for my parents, for myself, for all of you.

The Importance Of Reverse Phone Lookup.

phone number search

The first three digits of the phone number would also help them locate the owner of the phone number. The thing is that if they had just run a phone number lookup, they could have found each other! Before you get any ideas, let me tell you that these sites are perfectly legal and also offer their services free of cost. This happens to many different people all over the world and many of them don't know how they can identify these pranksters. It's extremely… Continue

We are supposed to be in this together!

Posted by Nette Mom on April 26, 2013 at 20:55 0 Comments

I was just endiing a campaign in Michigan against our Governor, and wondered what more was out there, what more can I do to help make my country the place I used to love, when I stumbled across a thing called Livestream, where people with the same purpose (supposedly) or like mindness could come together, chat, discuss, plan, and act and I was to say the least, excited. I started chatting and made so many friends and it was then I realized, that I had been wrapped up in my own small…
