C.org has a long sad track record of co-opting movements such as Occupy - in fact it is their sole purpose, I believe. You may have good intentions, but that organization IMHO, does not...or, you could know what they are all about. I can't assess that. I can assess the track record of sparechange.org., which is not good at real progressive change...only trying to divert such change back to the mainstream [the oligarchy with runs everything and which Occupy challenges].
Permalink Reply by Jon Huizer on May 12, 2012 at 0:47 ActiveSince60s, thank you for your comment. I submit that a controlled opposition (co-op) tactic can only be employed with the use of capital. NGAOTUS does not seek nor accept donations of any kind and thus, the specter of a co-op is unwarranted at this stage of development. Change.org was chosen because it is a Benefit Corporation and it has the appropriate tools needed for our purposes.

I was just endiing a campaign in Michigan against our Governor, and wondered what more was out there, what more can I do to help make my country the place I used to love, when I stumbled across a thing called Livestream, where people with the same purpose (supposedly) or like mindness could come together, chat, discuss, plan, and act and I was to say the least, excited. I started chatting and made so many friends and it was then I realized, that I had been wrapped up in my own small…
