Do you miss the days of the physical Occupation of Wall Street? Did you never get to see the Zuccotti Park before the raid? Occupy Wall Street is coming to a neighborhood near you. Over the next few months, mobile, daytime occupations, called Occupy Town Squares, will be held in parks and other public spaces, indoor and outdoor, around New York City. These events will reconstruct pre-raid Zuccotti Park as it might have been, if the tents had never gone up and the Occupation had attained its full organizational potential. There will be info tables, teach-ins, trainings, and political discussions. This is a chance for the public to learn about OWS and for OWS to learn about itself-- to exchange information, to coordinate between working groups, and to get to know your brothers and sisters in the movement.
The first Occupy Town Square will be held January 29th, in Washington Square Park
